Mediator Release Testing for Food Sensitivities

What is Oxford Biomedical Technologies patented Mediator Release Testing (MRT)? This is a blood test looking at how your body (on an immune level) reacts to 170 different food and chemical antigens. They test to see if your white blood cells release mediators (i.e. cytokines, prostaglandins, histamine, etc) to attack the food, resulting in symptoms. Symptoms can be anything from migraines, fatigue, heartburn, muscle/joint soreness, stomach issues, skin irritation, puffy/watery eyes, trouble with weight management, poor recovery from workouts/injury, etc.

This is an endpoint test that shows how your immune system reacts to each particular food and chemical. This is not to be mistaken for other tests out there (Immuno Labs, ELISA, ALCAT, etc) that test for IgG responses. This response doesn't necessarily mean it affects your immune system in a negative way since not all immune responses are bad, some are actually good. MRT dives deeper, looking at not only IgG responses but also IgM, C3 and C4 responses. It provides detailed results so a customized ImmunoCalm program can be created for each individual to calm down the body's total inflammation so that food can be better tolerated = less symptomatic.

It takes a lot of commitment, physically, mentally and emotionally but is definitely worth it for how much better you will feel. A Certified Lifestyle Eating and Performance Therapist (LEAP or CLT) works closely with each client to ensure the plan is implemented correctly and will guide you along the way.
